How to correctly gain an audience?

Please share your tips with me and probably others on how to correctly gain an audience. As a small YouTuber I would love to get the assistance you guys can lend me. Thanks! ;]

For me it's a trial and error experimentation.. Look at what you are doing everyday in growing your channel.. You should make a data on where you will gain lots of views and lots of subs.. Get a strategy and a discipline.. socialize every now and then.. make new friends.. Show support to your friends by watching their channel every now and then and leaving them a like and comments..

i think the most efficient ways to gain audience are:
(in order)
1- producing quality content.
2-search engine optimization
3- channel promotion trough SNs
