How to add your YouTube channel to every message/post

I really don't have a clue at the moment. When I search for my channel the url bar keeps saying my username. But I don't have a custom username because I'm under 500 subs
How do I find my url.
Looks like yours is working. /user/TammyTTalks is considered a custom URL that you must have gotten before YouTube implemented the 500 sub rule. A non-custom URL is like mine, which is a bunch of random characters.

Hi there I'm trying to add my channel to my profile but having some difficulty. I have a custom username, but my URL has '/c/' rather than '/channel/'

I type in my username and it doesn't work because the forums system is using '/channel/' rather than '/c/'

Is there a facility for '/c/' custom URLs?

thanks

Did you try using the /channel/ anyway and put the last bit of the url in after the /c/????

Can I just check so I have this right you cannot have a custom url unless you have 500 subscribers???

Here are the "official" guidelines for custom URL
To get a custom URL for your channel, your account needs to be in good standing and meet a few other requirements:

  • 500 or more subscribers
  • Channels is at least 30 days old
  • Channel has uploaded a photo for the channel icon
  • Channel has uploaded channel art
You can also qualify for a custom URL by linking and verifying your official webpage with your channel or +Page.

However, they do offer custom URLs earlier than this. A few months after I created my channel, they offered me a custom URL if I was willing to add random characters to the end. Like /Riddikore12345. BUT upon looking again just now, they offered me a full /c/Riddikore URL without the random characters. It's to note that I do not have 500 subs or an official web page.

Sorry, I missed your original post! In your personal details settings, leave both the /channel/ and /user/ boxes unchecked.
