That seems about right, but it really depends on your content. To me, the shorter the better. As a viewer, a long winded predictable intro is just plain annoying and waste of time after watching it for the first time. You can always change up the intros to keep it fresh though, which in that case, having a bit of a longer one could make sense.
That actually makes sense. Imagine if I have to watch the same intro again and again and again I would drop out too. Thank you very much for the advice.
Ideally 5 seconds I think, but NEVER more than 10 seconds. It's a good idea to have a "longer" and "shorter" version of the intro if you use a "Main videos-side videos" system, you use the longer for mains, shorter for side videos.
Yep! After reading comments on this thread, I'm going to make a 5 seconds version of my intro too! Thank you. By the way your intro is really catchy. My channel is about Traveling but I think I would have something 5 seconds like that, short and convey all of the important moments I need.
My YouTube manager told me to keep my intro at around 3 seconds. I had a 7 second intro and he told me that was too long.
I think your manager is right. But in my opinion, 3 seconds are too short. Maybe if you do the logo only then it makes senses.
