How Long Have You Been You Tubing & What Keeps You Motivated

I will hit my 3rd year this summer. And motivation? I like to create content and put my voice out there. I don't do it for fame or fortune and it is not my full time job. So yeah, it's a pretty good hobby if I can do it for nearly 3 years and still have fun!

How do you stay motivated to make videos when you don't get many views, subs or even comments? Even if you're trying your best...

I say do YouTube because you want to do YouTube. Views, Subs and Comments come with time. Exposure doesn't always mean Subs/Views/Comments. I've done heavy posting to Reddit, Twitter, Facebook and Google+ and still only get like 10 views from that. I still make videos every day (even if I don't 'post' a video every day, I make sure that I at least make a video every day). Growth takes time and getting to that 1000 sub mark where your growth starts to expand faster is one of the biggest challenges that new content creators face.

^^^^ You have to enjoy what you're doing or it's not worth doing. I've been making videos on YouTube since 2008, however I didn't start taking my channel seriously until I graduated college in December. My videos don't get many views at all, but I LOVE making them. And it's a special bonus when someone comments. However, that isn't what you should focus on. Just enjoy making your videos and the views will start coming :)
Good luck!

Going trough some hard times so the only positive thing in my life is Youtube at the moment. I have my ups and downs daily but like today my day started off with a random twitter convo all about how someone was such a fan and could not wait until a new video came out.... People have no idea how much that means to me and getting a hey what's up like that makes my day and get me motivated to make a video ASAP!

I want to give up everyday but when I look towards the YOUTUBE stars, their popularity shoots fire on me, then I motivate myself to get to their position anyhow.
