How Long Have You Been You Tubing & What Keeps You Motivated

Like everyone's said it needs to be about you having fun. If it's not fun make it fun. We only have one life so why waste it doing something you don't have to do. If you're not enjoying it now you won't enjoy it while you're successful and forced to do it near enough on other peoples terms.

I turned it in to a life lesson for me. The skills gained on YouTube are extremely useful for the real world. You learn editing, marketing, business acumen etc while gaining confidence and growing as a person. I love learning so this is key to me.

That being said a big part of business is learning when to give up. Unless you are 100% sure of the product, ie yourself, then you'll find it hard.

YouTube is not for everyone and it is hard a f***. Is it for you? The answer to that will give you your motivation.

I found that if you love what you really do then you'll find the motivation regardless of how dark your path is. But if you're weary of straying away from the path, talking to people about what you do, have some conversations off the internet. If you find yourself coming back talking about what you like doing, take note of that, it serves as proof that you still love doing what you do.

To me, it's about doing it whether I'm motivated that day or not. I have a set recording/uploading schedule, and when that time comes for each thing, I just do that thing. It can feel like a real imposition once in a while, especially on weeks when I have a lot of work at my day job or a big production to do at the theater (usually both of those things happen at once, because that's the way life goes), but knowing that I have my time to set up the camera and lights, record and edit, etc., just keeps me doing it.

Been doing my own thing since February 16 but did work for a school pr channel since April 15. Comments and personal improvement keep me going

Since late 2009. I just got used to reviewing stuff that whenever there's a cool game, movie or WWE pay per view that the impulse to post my thoughts on the matter keeps the channel going. XD

Since 2009-2010 around then (I have had multiple channels)

What keeps me motivated is seeing what big youtubers have in there life's and what comes from doing something like this. Also just getting mad support from people aswell
