How Long did it take you to reach 50,100 or 1000 SUBS?

It took me about a week to get 50 subs. That was just grinding on reddit and other forum sites/on twitter talking to other small youtubers in my niche.

100 subs came in just over 2 months. What lead to this happening was me doing giveaways on my channel (for stuff that didnt cost me a dime)

1000...well im only at 187 so 1000 is ways away.

It took me like 2 days to get 50 because I did a lot of advertising, like telling friends and family about my YouTube. I stopped advertising as much, so now I am just around 60 subs.

almost at 500 subs, Been super active since jan 2015. first 100..literally on jan 2016 so 1 year for 100 subs. 300 in second year...

It's hard for me to answer this because when I started uploading videos, it was just for my friends and family (travel vlogs), and by the time I started making videos for the public I already had around 145 subscribers. I started around November last year and I have 674 subscribers today... so I guess 500ish after four months, haha!

I don't really promote my channel to be honest, but I comment a lot of videos and make sure people find me But yeah self promotion isn't something I like to do because I don't think my content is good enough for me to not embarrass myself if I do it, haha! But you know, it's good to use as many keywords as possible, relevant of course, and I also use VidIQ to get help with making thumbnails and finding the right keywords!

I've been uploading videos to YouTube almost a year ago and I have 17 subs

50 Subs: 1 day (asked friends to sub)
100 Subs: 2 days (asked friends to sub)
1000 subs: 4 months (ran out of friends )

I know the thread says 50, 100, 1000 but if you're curious about the rest

2000 subs: 6 months
4000 subs: 8 months (took 2 months off)
10,0000 subs: 10 months
20,0000 subs: Probably tmrw or the day after at 11 and a half months
