I must admit that I've clicked on your videos a few times. I think in this age of YouTube, editing can really help you stand out. I think you have a wonderful personality, but some editing could punctuate your vlogs a little and keep the viewer engaged.
Music is also a great way to do this. I don't know if you watch Anisa Johmas videos, I'm not her biggest fan but her recent vlogs are really well edited. Although she just talks, she puts little images in and little things that keep me watching. If you talk about something, you could have the text appear with a little "ding" sound; it's things like that which show the extra effort and help
In terms of lighting, if you can't afford (or don't want) a lighting set up, sitting in front of a window can really help (or in a bright room). I used to have a lamp that I used and would diffuse with a sheet (hahah), but now I have lights that I bought from Amazon
