I recently had the yellow $ appear against my top video. (Has over 10m views)
It has now crashed to very little views.
I asked for a manual review and within minutes of request it was reviewed and turned down.
It also seems that if a video which has the yellow $ will not get 'suggested' to other users. It continues to be found if searched for but as over 90% of the views were coming from 'suggested' I will write off the video. Its a shame but I am also happy that I got so much from it until now. That video was my first 'gateway' video and made the channel what it is now. The video has earned me nearly $9'000. It will continue to earn revenue only through YTRed viewers. (Pennies)

I oddly got my first video demonetized today:
"Not Suitatable For all Advertiesers" Request Review.

What I don't get is that my channel has short animated cartoons for pre-schoolers with nothing offensive AT ALL. The title is innocent, the tags are clean, the content is for pre-schoolers and there is nothing that would justify it. I simply don't get it.

I also have another Youtube channel with cartoons which are the opposite. They are made for Teens/adults and have a sarcastic over the top humor, like Looney Tunes vs. South Park kind of humor and NONE of those videos are demonetized.

I don't get it. I hope after it's reviewed, it might change but this is the first time this ever happened to me. If demonetizing of videos becomes so random, it makes me anxious what the future holds.

I have requested for some reviews but even those videos with over 1000 views are still pending for days.

Super annoying

I was starting to feel left out of this topic, but thankfully today I received my first yellow dollar sign...so I know that YouTube does in fact care about me too.

The video in question was two days old, had accumulated just over 5000 views, and was about explorer yachts. I never use curse words in any of my videos, and there was no questionable content.

The "request a manual review" feature was very easy to use, and the green dollar sign came back just a few hours later, so it was all a storm in a tea-cup really. I'm confident that the powers-that-be at YouTube will be working hard to make the algorithm more efficient, this whole manual review thing must be a nuisance for them too.

Hi i have a video that i made estimated $200 off of it in the first week it was up. It became monetized after i request a manual review for my video. They monetized it for a week, then after a week tbey reviewed my video and said that ads cannot run on it. Im looking at my adsense and it shows zero earnings for october 1 - 31 which is a bit odd. Maybe because its only november 1st and i still need for it to wait to process? Idk... it would suck if i lost all that money.

I made a video and it was demonetized from the beginning. I requested review and it took them a week to review it. In the week, the video was monetized and I was making revenue off of it. After a week, they demonetized it (and also pulled it from everybody's recommended so that it was no longer getting the anyway near the amount of views that it was getting before). Will i still be paid that amount that I made in that week before they demonetized it? It shows up in my estimated earnings on YouTube but in adsense it shows that I made nothing from October 1st to 31s which is a bit strange because I know I made AT LEAST 10 dollars that month. Or is it just Adsense messing with me again? Maybe I should wait out a few days

Adsense from youtube updates on the 15th every month, unless it falls on a weekend,
What I mean is that you will see the money you get from youtube shows up on your adsense page every 15th.
Does it say "Confirmed by manual review"?
