$8 a Month for Ad Free Youtube

What are your thoughts on this? I wonder how it will affect the pay people get. If people are paying to not have ads, I wonder if any of this money will be distributed to channels in a new way. I'm not going to waste $96 a year to skip ads...
My thoughts would be that...Meh...Different strokes for different folks...I mean some people are just doing YT for fun am I right? then it turns into a literal job just like everything else...the only thing that makes it a career is either you enjoy it or not...[DOUBLEPOST=1425006148,1425006122][/DOUBLEPOST]
I'd be terrified of the backlash. Guarantee people would go straight-up irrational and act like YouTube burned their houses down and kicked their pets.

I like your channel bruh..Im going to sub right now :D

I think that websites abuse visitors with excessive ads. If they are a technology site or a site with viewers who are educated about ad-blocking techniques, they they bring about the trouble themselves.

pop-ups, pop-unders, auto-playing video ads, webpage take-over ads. Sites like Ask.com are absolutely terrible and notorious for such behaviours.

This is not the same for YouTube. In my opinion, the amount of ads on YouTube is far less than any other media that is an ad-supported business.

THIS is why I have it installed in the first place. You put obnoxious, excessive or irrelevant ads on my browser on a non-Youtube website? It's gonna get blocked. Put more relevant, VARIED and smaller ads and I won't care very much. I can deal with preroll ads a lot more than 30 seconds of a set of ads I've seen dozens of time (Lack of variation irritates me).

I also use a HOSTS file, which blocks dangerous and questionable website domains, which also ends up blocking a few advertising domains (doubleclick, for example). YTTalk is on my whitelist but I am not about to edit my first line of defense against malware as there are seedy advertisers out there.

You want to know a website that is annoying to navigate without Adblock or other plugins? Facebook. Lots of irrelevant s**t I don't care about, like what Facebook games are recommended to me (I don't play FB games, period), seeing the "Trending" or "People/Pages you may know/like" nonsense. All of that crap is invisible because of Adblock, not to mention the huge ads Facebook loves to put on the side, top and/or bottom of the page.

I use adblock for one reason, ads that offend me. Remember that one ad with the chick sitting on the toliet? I found that gross and offensive so I put ad block on my computer to stop that. I get messages all the time from Ytalk to take off my adblock, well Im sorry if you can assure me you wont put up ads I find disgusting or offensive, Ill take it off, until then it stays on.

I would NEVER pay to not have ads. I just do what needs to be done to get past them and thats it.

Well why thank you :D
Thanks for the support and it helps more than you know :D

I'll never pay a monthly subscription to YouTube just to have no ads. I think it will end up hurting YouTube or the YouTuber depending on how the users react if this comes to be.
