2015 CPM/post-holiday warning

I think it's advertisers not having a lot of ad $ to spend after xmas. I don't notice less views or anything, but I prepared for making less $ for the next few months. People are still watching video. However my audience is a bit older, so maybe kids going back to school won't really affect it much.

Agreed, ad budgets blown during Nov-Dec. Also, with fewer ads, the same ones tend to play more and affects CTR. My click-through-rate has also plummeted, so along with a lower CPM that's a double whammy hit!

Had about a 32% increase over the December period, which was very nice to see since it was my first proper December. I also got a significant increase in views though, so I'm not entirely sure how much of that is related to one another. I guess we'll see in January. Fear the drop!

On average we have seen a 35-40% drop. This started January 1-2, we will see how long it lasts over the next few days. It is quite depressing haha

Jan 1st - Jan 5th included was pretty brutal, but from the 6th January onwards, I'm already seeing the start of a recovery.

No improvement for me yet. I seem to recall it took a few weeks last year to see improvement.

November CPM was definitely better, but December views were nice and high thanks to holiday break so overall December was about 20% higher than December for us. We budgeted the Jan dip to put us at about 50% of our November numbers and so far it is looking correct. Good news is that CPM has already risen $2 above it's January lowest point (1/3).
