1M views = how much $

PinProject

I Love YTtalk
Not sure how many of you are familiar with the youtuber SUPERWOMAN but recently she donated all the video proceeds to a cause she was promoting. The video had 1M and she ended up donating $4k. I mean if I made that money that would be amazing, but for some reason it didn't sound like a lot of money I thought youtubers made more than that. I understand maybe he network takes a percentage off but I still felt like they made more....

what are your thoughts?

That sounds like a lot to me! Haha. You gotta remember too that there are plenty of YouTubers who are getting over 1 million views per day! So it will definitely add up!

I think it depends on the CPM and the percentage of share that YouTube and Network takes away. Making $4k for 1 Million views is very low. SUPERWOMAN was kind enough to donate that much for the cause.

I have no knowledge of that. He made a single animation video and it got a ton of views fast and then simmered off. I am led to believe he wasn't with a network since he wasn't very experienced.

Oh ok so I guess making $4k doesn't sound as bad anymore lol

I had a friend who got a million views on a video and made about $1,000.
That's the rate I thought was average. That's closer to me, I WISH I could make $4,000 for a million views.[DOUBLEPOST=1453994869,1453994831][/DOUBLEPOST]

That's WAY more than I make for a million views...

I think $4k is pretty normal. When my video reached 100.000 i got about $100 so that seems right. The most money people make on youtube is from deals and promotions i think, not the regular youtube ads.
