What does everyone use for editing?

So what FREE software do you guys use because I need an upgrade

I'm currently using Sony Vegas 12 myself, I haven't bothered to upgrade to 13 since I love 12 and know very good how it works. If anyone can convince me to get 13 because X reason, sure do so.

I use VideoPad and Windows Movie Maker. I want something with Chroma Key or even just with special Effects

I'm not so big in the world of free software, but I would personally recommend Sony Vegas for anyone, I've got my copy through a friend so I was lucky to get it for only $20, but I heard there are some ways to get it... It's not the right way, but it gets the job done.

If you're not a fan of that kind of stuff, WMM is good, but it doesn't get the results SV or even Adobe Premiere gets. (In my opinion)

Adobe Premiere is the best (IF you can afford it) I personally got it through the CC program, when it was on sale for students. Amazing product for the price.

I use camtasia studio 8 to edit my videos and i'd say its easier for starters. and if you are curious there is a trial period to where you can try it.

I use Adobe Premiere, but I have also used VideoStudio Ultimate X7 and I have to say I do really like it. X7 is simpler and more straightforward than Premiere
