Vegas rendering configuration tutorial (New update coming soon!)

I tried your rendering settings but the result was wonderful quality but no sound.
And i can't find the "internet hd 720p" template so i just wrote it there, does that fix it?

To be honest, if you can afford to render to 1080p, always do. Quality between 720p and 1080p IS noticeable and you will be able to stand out from the crowd by uploading high video quality. For instance I am one of the very very few on Youtube who has a Half-Life 2 playthrough in crisp 1080p.

A few solutions to help overcome the hurdles of 1080p:

1. Computer hardware. A fast (preferably overclocked) CPU and a powerful GPU can drastically reduce rendering time. With my hardware I render a 15 minute 1080p video in about half an hour.

2. Internet connection. The biggest reason people don't render to 1080p is because it doubles your file size and thus your upload time. If you can, try investing in a fiber connection where download and upload speeds are the same. Not every country is fortunate enough to have those connections yet, but if you do I highly suggest getting one. I have a 100mb upload connection which obviously makes uploading large files a breeze. Usually takes me less than 10 minutes to upload a 2GB file.

Good luck!

You look like the kind of guy that can help me, I've just got myself the new Happauge HDPVR recorder to record things on Xbox, I was using ROXIO. But ever since I sometimes get these pink/green screen covering most of my video.

Any idea what could be making this go on?

(I would post an image of it, but I need 15 posts ...)

I don't have a console and I never used these recorders ( I only use software) so I can't help you, sorry :)

Something I must point out is that while you may think the difference between 720 and 1080 is negligible ALOT of people will leave your video if they can't click full 1080 p HD because they thinks its not true HD (it's not.) I'm actually a bit tired of people not willing to wait while their computer renders and uploads their files. I mean you care what you product put out forever on the the internet is right? Click the upload button and go to the gym, eat lunch, and finished editing your next video. It'll be done uploading by then.
