I'm still having trouble. I've recorded with an HD PVR 2 in MP4 format at 1920X1080 and bit rate at 14.0MB. Will this effect the settings I do with sony vegas 12. Also, do the preview settings window in vegas make a difference of how the video renders? For some reason, the pixels get all messed up in parts of my videos. I'm currently rendering a video right now with a few tweaks I done. I hope this fixes it. I'm so sorry if I sounds like a newb, but me actually being a newb justifies newbiness ...doesn't it?

I think you didn't install the proper codecs. Try this and if it doesn't work try another one. It has to be AVC. http://www.winxdvd.com/resource/avc-codec.htm

I downloaded DivX yesterday and if I play my videos before rendering they play fine. It's not until after I render that the quality gets badly pixelated.
The other day I did render a video in Sony Vegas and uploaded it with excellent quality, but I don't know what settings I had. I was stupid and didn't save them.
