Vegas rendering configuration tutorial (New update coming soon!)

Hey bud nice tutorial. When I started to use Sony Vegas I was unsure what file it should be rendered to for the best quality.I spent weeks if not months trying to find one that will produce the highest possible quality. If you want to achieve the best possible quality your videos will ofcourse need to be captured in 720p or even 1080p.

I finally found out WMV files are the best. I've been using MP4 for few videos but the file size would be crazy just over few GBs for few minute videos.
WMV video files are small in size and they produce the highest/best video quality.

Thats exactly how i edit and render videos and been doing so for a year now until i went up and did the stupid thing to download beta gpu drivers and now vegas crashes every time i try to render with GPU and i cant be bothered to reroll drivers

I'm really need helps right now... I have a 15 minutes video and I'm rendering it, the time needed is more than 10 hours now and it keeps increasing. Anyone have some ideas??
Maybe you have to much stuff in your video. Try to remove some things you think will make problems and do it again.[DOUBLEPOST=1381515363,1381515313][/DOUBLEPOST]
Last time I followed a template like this, it went slower. But I'll give it another shot and come back to you.[DOUBLEPOST=1358943734,1358936100][/DOUBLEPOST]YEEEEEEEES IT WORKED!
Glad to hear it :)

Hey, wondering if you could help me. I added some effects to my video, nothing major just a sharpen and a saturation and curves adjustment (Vegas 12)
Now the video is HD, i recorded it with my HD PVR 2 gaming edition. However when i created the rendering template on this tutorial, my video was uploaded with maximum quality of 240p.

I deleted it and tried again but to no avail. I followed the tutorial bit by bit. What could it be?

You should wait a couple of minutes after you upload it. 480p and 720p don't appear immediately

Thanks that is exactly what it was. What tricked me is the HD icon wasn't showing under the video manager tab, and usually that shows even when the video is still processing. But i woke up this morning and all was well!

Thanks a lot for this tutorial, I'm now rendering my videos in about 20 minutes, before it took anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour!
Thanks. :D
