If you submit a video to the site without posting any comments beforehand, you're most likely going to be downvoted to oblivion. The 9:1 ratio is more of a rule of thumb; nobody is going to go count if you have 18 posts if they see you put up 2 videos, but if you post 2 videos in succession on the same day, you run a risk of being seen as a spammer. The best advice I can give as far as Reddit is to just contribute worthwhile content and comments to the site whenever possible. If you do that, nobody will call you out on spamming when you submit one of your own videos.Do you need to follow the 1:9 rule? Also, do you need to contribute to the subreddit 9 times, and then submit a video? Or can you submit a video, and then contribute 9 times? Also, can you contribute 18 times, and then submit 2 videos?

/r/leagueoflegends needs to chill out a bit then, or something hahaI use reddit daily and post there all the time and believe me, they do count. the 9:1 ratio might be less strict in some subs. But as a rule of thumb, you should always follow it. An example is /r/leagueoflegends, they take the rule very seriously.
Lol ya, I think it's just because they're growing so fast, there's so many new posts every day, they have to limit it some how./r/leagueoflegends needs to chill out a bit then, or something haha
