The small stay small, the big get bigger.

Excellent thread full of many wonderful tips, and I shall strive to apply a good number of these tips to my channel and how I go about promoting my videos from Youtube.

thank you for your thoughts op, its good to hear advice from someone with more than a handful of subscribers. bookmarked your thread for future reference.

at this point only my friends and a few precious subscribers watch my vids. my choice of content prolly doesent help either, but they always say do what you love, and I have a deep passion for world building games. youtube is my way to try to share my creations and things, even tho the response has been somewhat underwhelming.

WOW, nice, just NICE!!! well done dude. I have one question, how to find some big channel to do some Collaboration? i want to try with this to grow my channel. :)

Actually one of the keys to getting views on YT in the gaming world these days is to play an Indie Game that's REALLY good and get it up before anyone else. Try it.

I will vouche for this.

I played Bewilder House about 1 week before Markiplier played it. After I uploaded it, it got maybe 50 views. When Markiplier started playing it, my video appears on the related videos and it boosted the view count up to 600 for that one video and I believe I got a few subs from it as well. 7 Subs out of 600 views. Not the best ratio, but hey!.. its subs. According to analytics they havnt unsubbed.. ALTHOUGH, my view count for new videos are mostly the same unfortunately.

Very concise thread and in a little over half an hour I have learnt how to outline my text to make my thumbnails pop!! Good work my friend!! Hopefully this will go some way to increasing my views and active subscribers

@uberdanger having used your advice when it comes to the aforementioned custom thumbs, the first video I put up using them got around 5times the normal amount of views I would of expected which just shows if you can make your thumbnail stand out then your video stands that much more chance of getting noticed, Take heed fellow YT members!!

Yes sir you are welcome <3 gl

Thanks for this very informative post. I plan on utilizing this because I can definitely say right now that I am in the first stage of growth, where not many people are able to find me/watch me. Hopefully I can successfully employ these tactics.

I've written other guides if you're interested, "how to grow a large gaming channel" is pretty good.
