Gateway videos are widely appealing, realtively short, high view-to subscriber ratio videos.
 
Hmmm....I really have to come up with good ideas if i want to be big (thats what she said) but really I cant find anything and since i am a small channel I think Commentaries isn't a good idea.Tell me your opinion UberDanger....After all you inspired me to make videos ;)

As I said just do gateway videos.
 
Very helpful thread! This idea of the gateway video is something I've been playing around with, it's very interesting. My goal on my channel is to post feature films, however that's a lot of very long content therefore, as you said, I need to first draw people in. To augment my films I've been also posting little clips and bits that might, as you say, become a gateway video. These clips are exciting moments from the films or little smart bits of dialogue from a feature commentary. None of these have been successful yet, in fact my films have been more successful than these attempts at a gateway video! I'm becoming a little frustrated by this little videos. I must be doing something wrong with them, or perhaps they're just not that interesting!

Anywho, I just wanted to say thanks! This will sure be a helpful thread for me!
