RPM's new partner requirements

I joined them last yr after I left TGN which still has the 30-70 cut. I thought I would get more income with them but hell no. It's a good network, but if they will lock me-in in a 50/50 and 2yrs lock-in, I'll leave them for sure.

50/50 is for only smaller channels. Which cut is 30/70 TGN or RPM?

TGN, it was their first contract before going 80%->100%->60%(now)

And I got way more cash in TGN than in RPM.

Just wanted to clarify a few things as someone who has been partnered with RPM for over a year now.

There are multiple levels of contracts depending on your views. If your a micro channel, your going to get the 50/50 contract, if your bigger, you'll get better options.

As for CPM / Partnership you can thank youtube for that. Starting last year Youtube made everyone with videos a partner. RPM is simply now allowing people youtube is already letting monetize into the network. CPM's wont be affected in RPM by adding these people, however CPM's are being affected youtube wide by EVERYONE being let in, this is part of the reason CPM's have crashed so hard this year. There are millions of new impressions available and this overall lowers the cost of impressions. This is regardless of whatever network you are with, with the exception of network specific sold ads which are a portion of your networks revenue but most likely not the majority for most of us.

Finally RPM announced Friday that they re-raised the threshold to 1k monthly views. Its still rock bottom, but its no longer 0.

That being said, Partnership isn't a status symbol, its not a BMW, its not a gold necklace, its not going to get you hot chicks (well, for 99% of people anyways) its a business agreement. RPM pays their partners millions every year and is a reputable company regardless of who they are accepting. People need to stop being so concerned with the "status" of partnership and focus on making content.

If you don`t know about something please don`t say anything....
CPMs are due to rise 40% this year alone. they have not "crashed"....
YouTube Monetization does not off CPMs but instead ad clicks and views, this is because YouTube can`t sell the good ads because they have to sell so many, more often than not they sell lower paying ones and as a result partners would not earn much if they were to start paying per 1000 views.
As a network partner, only 0-30% of your ads will be sold by Google (depending on the network) Networks sell ads onto their CMS, via Google Adwords, they often get all the good ads because YouTube has already taken the bad ones.
If a network is smaller it means they will need to sell less ad impressions , therefore CPMs will rise as they can spend their time scouting out higher paying customers and deals.
When RPM lets all these small partners on board it will indeed drop Maker`s CPM rates across the board ;)

I do know something about this, and Im stating what I know based on articles from youtube, partnership experience, and interactions with people in several of the networks. CPM's are down across the board compared to historical numbers and there are hundreds of articles out there discussing this, why its happening, and its been brought up time and time again to youtube in their get togethers they do.

Many larger partners are now looking at other options to increase monetization outside of youtube specifically due to the fact that CPM is not keeping up with growth.

CPM is how much your making per 1000 views. Regardless if its CPC, CPI, etc. Its simply a metric for how much you get paid per 1000 monetized views. Networks do in fact buy ads but in my experience quite a few of them are from the youtube pool of ads. As youtube allows more folks to monetize its only natural that the cpm goes down due to the equilibrium moving.

Till then we can agree to disagree

So, if i accepted the contract stated i was over 18 ect, but i havent accepted the "
RPMNetworks has invited you to join their network" on my dashboard... can i still decline there offer entirely?
