Symph
I'm a dude with a face and I know how to use it.
No I can respect that, maybe I'm just not aware of how widespread this "gaming" is. I know for me I've seen quite a few smaller channels who I respect get it lately which has raised my faith in the whole thing. I guess it just felt like you were saying that all partners are greedy and don't work hard for their partnerships, and that's just not true. I'm sure it's the case with a good handful, but alot of people do it by just trying to make good content and speak to their audience. I think some networks are unethical, but some seem to be fine. I know fullscreen responds to my messages and tries to help me out any way they can, and I've gotten to know one of the higher ups and he's a very friendly personable guy. Not all networks may be like that.I am not hung up and i am sorry if you are offended however like you and others I can say what I feel on a subject.
I feel better for saying it and I will say it because this is a forum that allows people to have different opinions. The fact is if you can't see it then nothing I say will change that. I have been through these craze gold rushes before I know how they end. Lets simply agree to have different opinions if that is okay with you. I am not trying to change what you do but I dont have to like it or agree with it. That is what makes the world a cool place to live in.
FYI i have nothing against valid earned partnerships that make sense. yours makes sense . i have a right to not like it when people game the system beef up stats artificially so they can make money off of companies and call it theirs. You see I am one of those people who has to research this stuff for people I work with and for. Sorry to say I dont like it when ad dollars are spent on pretend traffic and fake views so people can take home a paycheque!
Anyway, I just felt like you were trying to say being a partner was no reflection on your talent, and in some cases I know that's true, but in a lot of cases it's totally because of someone's talent, and something to be proud of. So long as you don't start thinking you're better than everyone else, there's nothing wrong with feeling accomplished for being accepted as a partner, if you stop engaging your audience and stop being down to earth, THEN there is a big problem for sure. But everyone is different, we all handle it differently. Thanks for the thoughtful response UL.
