My Virool Experience

Okay so the campaign is finished! My $100 lasted approximately one hour (just under), and I got 1,000 views, 16 likes, 1 dislike, and a couple comments (from existing subscribers).

I don't think I'd ever spend money like that on a campaign again, mainly because it's clearly - as I said before - designed for rich folk haha. It was very interesting to try it though I'm glad I did![DOUBLEPOST=1366399383,1366399355][/DOUBLEPOST]Okay I just gained 2 more subscribers so it did something at least :)[DOUBLEPOST=1366399468][/DOUBLEPOST]OH and I should point out the advert was displayed 1400 times, and 1000 views were generated out of it. That's actually not bad.
 
That's extremely interesting. Is $20 worth 2-5 subs, though? With this rough calculation, one might estimate 100-250 new subs for $1000. That is... well, okay? $10,000 for 1000-2,500 new subs, actually no. That's really crap.

Granted, these are likely going to be active subs. People who are legitimately interested in you due to your trailer. But 1000 subs is worth like... $100-200 max in my book.

I've never paid for subscriptions, but then again, an extremely large number of my 191k subs are inactive and I lose MANY a day. So maybe I should care about things like this? I do not know.

Not at all, no. I think it's a horrific amount to spend. Again: views are decent, but the rest? You can get that with hard work that doesn't cost extra money, I believe. But you are right, they are likely to be the kind who comment and whatnot, since they took the time to visit your channel and subscribe.

I should think you're okay, I mean that's a hefty number to have!

Look at my views, though. I almost dislike my large sub number because if you match it with my views, it looks like I bought subscribers and they don't do anything. At least in my book that's what it looks like.

Overall it looks impressive: 32 million views is nothing to shrug off. I do see what you mean about the individual video views though. You should probably have about 10k views per vid for such a high subs count.

That would make sense, though the "big purges" we've seen didn't hit me very hard. I wish they'd all go away at once so I could see how many real accounts are actually subscribed to me. I've been on YT since the beginning, and I'm really trying to reorganize and get back on track. I get most subscriptions from videos themselves, which is good. I don't have a trailer as I am working out what I am as a brand. I've never been "a brand" honestly, always been a "do what I think to do" guy. But I obviously need to focus that. My vidstatsx literally look like an inactive channel haha.

I hear that. I made my trailer today, but it was really hard thinking of ways to advertise a gaming channel... I mean, it's gaming. What is there to advertise? But I think I did it right lol. If in doubt: make fun of yourself and what you upload!
