From looking at your stats, it looks like inactivity/inconsistent release schedule would be the primary reason for your inactive subscribers. The high number of closed accounts is probably due to spam accounts that subscribed to you when you were getting huge numbers on your videos. An active subscriber base for a channel your size should generate around 300k views per day. I'd be surprised if you had more than 5k active subscribers.

I tried AdWords once but they refused my ad (I forget what video it was). They're rather strict with their thumbs, titles, etc. That's one upside about Virool; they generally don't give a damn lol.

Jeff is awesome for being honest but extremely helpful. When he talks, you listen! He knows what he's talking about! :D

Good luck with fixing your channel. Even if you have some dead subs, hopefully the number alone will help you get 'on your feet' so to speak!
 
Yeah, the fake it before you make it thing works out well with that. People think I am very well-to-do or something.

Quickie update from that last Virool purchase. My live page doesn't show it yet, but I have over 3,000 views at face value, and over 40 likes! My opinion still stands, but I just updated incase anyone wanted to know ::)
 
Cool, it's crazy to see how fast Virool is. Here's my story!

I tried Google Adwords as soon as I had a trailer ready for the One Channel layout. This was when my channel was like 3 weeks old? With a "Spend $25, get $75" deal I decided to give it a shot.

Yeah it took 4 days (ish) to get my video ad approved, I spent all $100 within a week and got about 800 impressions or something crazy like that.

It was a fun experiment, I definitely jumped into it too early, my channel had less than 10 videos at the time. I agree with you that it's probably worth it if all you want is inflated views. With a good enough ad I'm sure it'll give you an inflation of subs too, but my ad was very amateur :)
