I'd recommend trying another USB Mic in the system to see if the same thing persists, if that does the same thing then it's you settings, if not take the mics back to get a replacement or refund.

I got a new mic and there have been no problems, must just be a faulty mic. But thanks for your helpful tips though

I use the blue yeti, I absolutely love it. No problems with it, crisp, clear sound to your voice and I would 110% recommend it to anybody that starting YouTube. It's a bit pricey but definitely worth the extra spend on it.

I recently got the Razer Sieren. Loving it. It is a little pricey but great quality and if you like the Razer look it is a dream to look at

I use the Blue Yeti myself. It's a pretty good quality microphone and seems to be one of the best, from what I've heard. It better be, seeing as how expensive it was! It also seems to be very popular in the Youtube community, as well as the Snowball.

SE 2000 MkII it's a pretty damm good mic for the price, I've used it a lot and I can say it's totally worth the price
