So I was going back and forth between getting a good headset or the Blue Snowball. I just ordered the blue snowball today because of reading some comments how a Headset will really pick up the sound of one's breathing. Thanks for the info about mics.

From what iv'e seen a popular mic for on camera is normally Rode shotgun I prefer the (Couldn't add link)
Rode Videomic Shotgun Microphone with Rycote Lyre Mount (Model: VIDEOMICR)

I'm using an AT2020 and I'm wondering if a windshield would be better than a pop filter, I'm currently using a pop filter bit it still picks up a little noise from my PS4?

Get a foam covering. It should not pick up your PS4 noise.

I stuck with a pop filter, got a desk clamp mic stand though so I can move the mic anywhere and now it sounds great :)

Please someone help I've been searching all over for the best mics and cannot for the lfe of me pick one

I'm not a gamer just me chatting to a camera talking and stuff. I've heard the blue yeti is good but will it only work with it plugged into a laptop as its usb?

Also am I supposed to get a special lead for it to connect to my canon dslr?

Then there's the rode mic but they clip on top of the camera so if the cameras a bit away from me won't it not pick up sound very well? Help!

you should add these two

Samson Meteorite (smaller & cheaper version of the meteor)

and the Samson Go Mic Direct (also a smaller and cheaper version of it's counterpart)

I use and really like the blue yeti listed second on this list. I will say that the mic picks up every noise in the house though including fans running in other rooms!! The mic also has a bit of a flat sound to it so I would recommend using Audacity to run noise removal and also providing a bit of a bass boost. With those two things done the audio is super clear and should suffice for any YouTuber. One last caution is that the stand is total crap and while it does hold the mic where need it transfers any sound of bumping the desk directly into the sound which means you need to be extremely careful when moving or even typing/play a game.
