I just recently bought a Blue Yeti. I had problems getting Audacity to recognize the mic though. I figured out how to get it working though and it sounds beautiful. Only problem I notice is sometimes when I talk too fast, Audacity skips a word or two before going back to normal. When you playback the audio, it sounds jumpy. IDK why it's doing that, so I just try not to talk as fast lol.

I use the Rode Shotgun mic as a boom mic in my videos. I record it directly into Logic Pro X on my Mac and sync it together with video in Final Cut Pro X in post editing. It's slight tedious, yes, but it's all worth it for the clean sound I'm particularly looking for.

Recently bought myself a Blue Snowball, looks amazing. With that red light on top, looks like an evil robot or something. Quality is really good, then only thing that's "required" is pop filter, but other then that I'm really satisfied with the purchase.

I bought and tested the Rode SmartLav portable microphone and for $70 it is very nice with good sound, I will be using it in future videos for sure. Only downside is you have to download the Rhode app at $5 but I do believe the free version is just as fine.

i use the Blue Snowball just brought it ago a month ago i love it but should i get a pop filter and if so can someone rundown what they do

I use the Audio Technica AT2020 on a Mic stand and love it. I have a pop filter with it and the quality is 10x better than the snowball that I had for 3 years. I'd highly recommend this product.
