I would say yes, but with strict conditions. First being a card on the channel that links to your channel, a link in the description and a push to your site in there too. But yeah it will be worth it. We all want as many people to see our work as possible.

Can you explain more? :)

Like a card where, and what do you mean?

And what do you mean by a push to your site? :D

Thank you for replying![DOUBLEPOST=1458162756,1458162705][/DOUBLEPOST]
Your watermark is basically where you put your logo or username over your video so that nobody can steal it or claim it as theirs. That's why I say you should do that, so the other dude doesn't just give you minimal credit and make people think it's his.

Okay good idea! He said he would give credit. A watermark is a good idea!

A card is Youtubes new annotations that show off on mobile devices as well as PC's. So if someone thinks, this guy looks good then they can quickly click the card and be on your channel (you will have seen them, white little banners generally in top corner with an i in a circle).

With push to your site I mean where he actively tells people to visit your channel rather than just giving you credit. So in the description he says something like "check out this guys channel, he is awesome" with a link to your channel.

If they have no videos then theres definitely no point, who will watch it? and as i just said people wont flock to your channel to watch your video if they just watched it on that other guys channel, plus dont just give other people your content they will take the views you might have gotten and they will probably monetize it making money off of yours and other peoples work and doing nothing themselfs

Well this would be their first video and it could get no views or thousands of views. Well not many people have watched it on my channel anyway.

I understand what you are saying. But could this really hurt me?

It might not help or hurt.[DOUBLEPOST=1458163911,1458163798][/DOUBLEPOST]

Thank you for replying! Great ideas!

I could have him put a card in my clip, a watermark, a link, and make sure this person announces that this clip is MrWapk's.

but why should you let somone else profit off of your work?

Well this person probably won't profit much, and it doesn't bother me. :p It took me 50 hours to get this clip, but that was 50 hours of me playing The Culling, recording and enjoying. Not just trying to get this clip.

If the channel has good traffic then yeah, but from what i've seen you say it does not sound worth it

That's true. I say this guy should not let that guy get money for something that is HIS work. But I guess it's a matter of this guy's opinion.

I really don't care if this person monetizes it or not. I'm just trying to figure out if this will help or hurt me more.[DOUBLEPOST=1458165394,1458165343][/DOUBLEPOST]

Well it is the first video on the channel, so it could get no views or thousands, you never know.

Even if I only get one extra view from it, isn't it worth it?

I don't see why it would hurt you. If he uploads it and the video gets popular, it would bring more traffic to your channel and be good for you. But if it doesn't then it's kind of "eh" for both of you. He doesn't get views, so he doesn't profit of your work (which is good), but you don't get traffic... and your channel stays the same.

So no, it probably won't "hurt you" unless the people watching his videos get jealous of you and become haters. Even then, that isn't very likely.
