How To Get More Subscribers

Honestly, I don't see the point of cheating on yourself. Yes, I sayd it right. When you send out your 'friends' invitations, you just look desparate for advertisment. People might like your videos and comment 'Its good!' But it doesint prove that you are good. Do it normally, be fair. If you get subscribers and likes when you dont cheat on yourself, then you know that your good at what your doing. Thats just my opinion. But thanks for the article! :D

The point is though is that it works, YouTube these days is all about marketing to get going and keeping people coming back and without it many channels completely fail because there are very few ways to get people to watch your videos which means people need to think ahead of the rest and use tactics/techniques to further their audience.

I know for a fact if I made a new channel, put a video on it and never spoke to anyone through comments, advertised it in some way and never bothered to sub anyone or add them as a friend that it wouldnt go anywhere. It is very sad to see that it works this way but it currently does.

In a way, you're right. But some people don't do that. When you advertise yourself randomly, you get +500 subs, but only 20of them are active. I know a guy, who didnt advertise himself on every channel, and he has almost 800 subscribers, and Almost everyone is active ;)

I know what youre saying but popularity breeds popularity which is sad but true, if I had a channel exactly the same as another, same content and whatnot and never promoted one of them by adding people, talking to people etc it just wouldnt be likely to get anywhere and when youre serious about wanting to do well you pretty much have to.

So here would be a valid question for you...how would you suggest going about advertising a good video without ******* yourself out to friend requests?

Tell your friends. Don't be so desparate. Patience will lead ya to success :3

Thats one of the issues, not everyone has friends online and not many will fancy showing them to their real friends who might not use YouTube. I do believe in not coming across as desperate and to be patient as possible but I just cannot see it happening without any promotion, it is similar to a forum, if no one promotes it, nurtures it or advertises it grows dead eventually unless it has reached a critical mass, similar to a certain amount of views, subscribers and friends on YouTube, adding a few people who could be interested to begin with can eventually lead to successful whereas waiting most of the time doesnt, he could simply talk to people who already like similar videos and get to know them, that could earn him some decent subscribers who do watch his videos regularly :)
