Have slow Uploads? Try this

Hey, so after almost 9 hours the 23GB video file was finally "encoded" after the file size dramatically decreased to 7.65GB! Quite amazing I say.
The next part was to check the quality of both video files; 23GB and the "newly encoded" 7.65GB video file.

I double-clicked on the video file waiting for it to freeze as it always happens after I have "encoded" or "converted" a video file. But nothing happened! lmao!

The "newly encoded" video file was corrupt I've tried 2 different media players: VLC & GOM they don't seem to work. The video file doesn't actually work. hehe!

Damn I was looking forward to it. Perhaps when I "Set Priority" to "Realtime" something must have gone wrong and Handbrake was like WTF! I can't handle this "high" speed.

Ah well, better luck next time. lmao!

Just a headsup from an IT Support perspective, Don't ever set the priority to RealTime....

Hey greatbritishbg thanks for your response. How come your saying not to set priority to RealTime? Because from members on other forums suggest to set priority to RealTime when "Converting" "Encoding" files as it speeds up time and more CPU & RAM is allocated to the specific software.

It's very much over the top, in the film industry (co-incidentally I studied film too haha). It puts a lot of pressure on your machine and can force it to struggle in other important areas. I would suggest if you have to push your machine to realtime then you should consider upgrading your specs. I never push it past "Very High".

Just my opinion but I like to think being experienced I can give a helpful hand ^.^

Thanks bud I agree with you there. Usually I wouldn't be able to set "RealTime" on programs, but I managed to get hold of a software that has important and cool features to be honest. So it was my first time setting a program to "RealTime" and looks like it was an epic FAIL! lmao!

But yeah I agree with you setting "RealTime" can cause problems to the PC especially when you have a low performance PC just like mine. Ah well looks like I won't be "RealTime" any more. hehe ^.^

I have been using HandBrake for the last two years now and it has helped me in so many ways but one way it has helped me the most was when i were to upload to youtube. It cuts the file size down so much that a 30 min upload can take 10 mins. There is no loss of quality and you can convert the video file to what you would like! Its just pure awesomeness!

Take a look at my video on how HandBrake works!

Thanks and i hope this helped everyone out that might have the same issues as i have.

I use it before and i disagree there is defiantly some quality loss! Everything you convert will suffer in quality.

The best way to make upload faster is to upgrade your internet speed.

Hey Jaguar550, yeah at first I was saying the same I was getting worried about the quality as I'm sure they would be a "little" quality loss. Unless you know how to use the software properly and maybe the quality won't be lost. I have friends on other forums who use the software at a daily basis, fingers crossed they can give us more info.

Guys, Convert all exported footage into FLV. It WILL cut down the upload time as YouTube converts to FLV during the upload stage. Doing that before hand is better.
