5.000 subs and 300.000 view in ~1½ month!

Nicely done! Congrats on the payoff of all your hard work!

Thank you so much! I also remember you from my last milestone celebration on this forum - thanks for checking in once again! Best of luck with your own channel - I watched your Dissapointment video - so nice!

I have to say your channel has a crazy growth, congrats mate.I thing this is something that shows you all of your hard work means something to the world, best of luck mate :)

That's so inspiring! Seeing you actually making the plan and achieving your goals in such a quick time it's just amazing!;D Big Well Done to you!^^

For sub and view ratio, I've made a few posts about it. But most of the people then thought subs were everything

However if you had 1000 subs and 900 views then it's clear you did sub for sub because you have subs who have never watched anything. But if you had 1000 subs and 50000 views then you have subs watching a lot and other people finding videos of yours too. Everyone starts 1:1 but as you get more popular that gap gets bigger

So what's the perfect ratio? No idea but I've noticed I've been between 80-100 views for 1 sub and 500:1 or 1000:1 is what many "famous" channels have

Thank you so much, and crazy is definitely a fitting word. Hard work pays off, right? ;-) Best of luck to yourself as well - your thumbnails are so awesome, I will deffo check out your tuts!

Thanks for the reply. Can you expand more on the what kind of marketing you did? One more thing, you might want to claim your custom URL from YouTube since you have over 100 subs.

Of course - thanks for replying to me in the first place! As of now, I am only doing Adwords. I did like $20 per video for a 2 week promotion (most places actually offer a promotion deal for Adwords - if you spend approx. $60 there, you get $180 free - really worth it). In my opinion, as a new and small channel, you must do everything you can to even just get one more sub and view. I am currently looking into additional promotion, as the Adwords payoff is starting to stagnate for me, seeing the size I have reached. I have a telephone meeting with an Adwords-employee next week though where we have to talk about optimizing the ads, so hopefully I will get to know if it is still worth for me promoting here (might have to up the price-per-vid a bit).

And I actually do have a custom URL, I just can't figure it out with the YTTalk forum here :-D /iroNickGaming

Thank you so much! :-D Yeah, it is an amazing feeling to see all your hard work and research paying off so fast! I really like the work you put into your own content as well - looks so professional! Best of luck with your own channel! ;-)

Ah, now I get what you mean with sub to view ratio (and it's also what I thought you were meaning with it). I agree there is no perfect ratio. I have never in my life done sub4sub and never will - people asking in my comments for it gets an auto-block, lol! Mine is around 60:1 as of now, but I guess it is still too early to conclude anything on that. I see it as natural that your sub to view ratio will increase as you grow bigger, as you will have way more exposure, whereas smaller YouTubers will mainly pop up due to direct searches, and therefore mainly be people from your target segment stopping by. I could be wrong though, but it's definitely an interesting topic.

5000 subs since august is amazing, thats the power of putting money into "advertising" and having niche content will do!

Thanks for the great answer. I will look into adword to see if that will work out for me. Looks like you figure it out how to use the custom URL on YTtalk.
