Yeah maybe you can do that with YOUR type of channel but when dealing with politics that come with literal risk of destroying your career/reputation good luck.
 
for someone starting out this is great info. The best thing about youtube is your way works and there are a ton of other ways to skin that cat too.
 
Very true. Some things that have helped me is:

Starting my Tumblr blog and growing that (may be easier to grow a blog than a YouTube channel). Growing my social media presence on Facebook and Twitter, that has been a great source of traffic. Posting my videos on sites that allow YouTube uploads, like iVlog.

Above all, being patient. It won't happen overnight.

Its best not to base what your doing off what this says. Everyone can get to 1 million in there own way with the right content and consistency
 
Some great advice there but cannot see past the hiring someone side of things. However, I need to get my self up to scratch with Adwords and what that is all about
 
The OP makes great points about finding a niche, websites, and social media etc. But for a small, beginning Youtuber. Hiring team isn't really necessary in order to grow your channel starting out. But when your channel gets over 100,000 subscribers. Then it becomes more feasible. Especially with promotion.

And other key thing the OP missed out on is the importance of SEO and Keywords. Adwords isn't actually necessary if you know what you are doing SEO wise. When I see some of the posters on YT Talk. They are missing several important keywords in their videos. If you see the videos on my channel. They are usually on the first page of Youtube searches because I know keyword density on my video topics are very important.
 
definatly an interesting bunch of advice here, thank you for that., btw i would not spend watching a video and comenting on that with a link to youre youtube channel, that is too much hassle/time, i would go for the wow awesome video , check out mine here is the link, because it saves you the time , if you have to watch all those video's , it just takes too much time, what i surely would do is targeting and comenting / post links on those youtube video's that indeed has an affiliation with youre wown youtube channel so if you have a youtube channel that is all about cars, dont comenting/psot youre link on a youtube channel for hair products!!
