Youtubers Lying About Their Age

Oh haha thats funny. I've been making videos since i was 12 too and i totally lied about my age. I figure that it really depends on the person. I've seen some kids that are just down right dumb when it comes to making videos. They disclose their actual location! If they don't know online etiquette and safety then, they have no business on something like youtube. On the other hand if they are well informed users, then i see nothing wrong with it! Screw an agelimit!

Actually I remember getting a runescape account when I was 9. It said to specify if you are under or above 13. So I yelled to my dad "Dad can I lie about my age?" and he said No. So for like four years I had to use quick chat. And if you've ever played Runescape you know how annoying that can be xD

This.
ooooohh.....-.- quickchat.....never again....

Eh every kid lies about his age on YouTube today. Not really any way to fix it but it doesn't bother me. If a 11 year old wants to post a YouTube video fine. But making money from it, no. The only real problem is when little kids go around spamming and trolling like they do in games like Cod

That doesn't make any sense. How could Sophia and Grace who are like 4 be on youTube and then be signed with Ellen on her TV show? Even americas got talent has little kids on the show and they all have YouTube under their own name earning money and everything from monetization.

I don't think age really matters honestly, I know that sometimes hearing a younger youtuber can annoy some people, and I know if I hear a 10-12 year old acting like a weenie it makes the video awful, but I still believe they should be a allowed to have a YouTube channel

To be honest I made my first account back in 2006 When I was 8 years old and took me forever just to make an account being how young I was and obviously lied saying I was born in 1990, used account like 3 times and had some dumb name like ladylover112 or something stupid 8 years later here we are in the now business era of youtube. But too be honest I don't care aslong as there not toxic to the community ie troll comments.

Most of people these days will lie on their information because they don't want their personal exposed to internet. I think youtube don't need to make that rules. Parents should be aware of their kids ...

for me, im quite lucky because I have always looked older, even when I was 14, people thought I was 17-18 because I was tall for my age and my beard started to grow (no lie).

I made my account when I was 14, I could of gotten away with it though due to my older look
