Unless you're appealing to a specific niche audience, avoid Reddit. I posted a few of my videos in the NewTuber's subreddit (separated by a few weeks each, not all at once) and they either went unrecognised or downvoted. You'd be lucky to get more than 10 views from Reddit. Twitter and Facebook are great for advertising videos though. Use hashtags and you're sweet.
I'd probably have to have a little help using twitter to promote, have no idea what i'm doing there. And yeah you're right. I think i've mentioned it before but reddit can be hit or miss but even so it's only a little bit of exposure with little turnout.

And the community on Reddit is VERY fine-tuned. You don't appeal to someone, it is a dislike. Particularly on a topic to do with YouTube. Definitely start looking at your Twitter posts to advertise!

Honestly, it's hard for me to say which site causes the most views for me because my stats are always that low. Facebook might be the most helpful, though, since I know my family uses that.

Id say twitter is good. I some how linked my personal twitter account to youtube and forgot about it for a few months and I noticed a spike in subscribers. In the last month I disconnected it again and noticed it slowed down. Its a great feature and I will deploy a dedicated twitter account when I launch the new Channel.
Facebook could be good but I dont know that beast and I feel the users are less likely to leave facebook for youtube.

Really? Well for my new channel I havent posted ANYTHING and I have 2 subs, Twitter has 25 from one tweet welcoming them to the account and the facebook page has had quite a few page visits but like the others there is no content yet. All I have done is upload the graphics. Im really excited to see how I go once I launch the whole package. But for now I have to start making better videos. My unboxing video I liked but was way to amateurish. Thanks for the heads up on FB

I get a decent amount of traffic to my videos from Twitter and Tumbler. I also re-post my videos on iVlog.com, and that's helped allot.

It's a tough one between Google+ and Twitter.

FB and Instagram are pretty much useless to the point of trying to promote yourself but I have found Google+ and Twitter brilliant tools in sharing content and communicating with creators
