I'm not understanding why that makes it a complete failure.
Considering adblock is free, anybody willing to give google money directly to block ads baffles my mind. I'm amazed that many people are signed up to begin with.
I got about 450k views over the past 28 days and 4.5k YT Red views. So on my end, that's a solid 1% of views being YT Red, which like I said, is way more than I imagined it would be.
And as far as earnings go, I got almost $20 from those YT Red views so they are doing far more for me compared to ads at the moment, though it is January (the time of the lowest RPM of the year).
