If you're a small youtuber and you think that way you won't get very far. I think a lot of the bigger youtubers think that way however but thats pretty understandable.
 
Yes, there is competition because I have limited time to watch YT videos. If your video is not as good as someone doing the same kind of content, I'll watch theirs and not yours.

To most youtubers yes but i dont see it like that their are other small youtubers who dont even care about how many subs or views they have but the people that love to watch their videos even if they have a small audience still a good feeling
 
Everyone has their own reasons for YouTubing. Some people compete to be the best and others just want to share their passion (and others have other reasons).

For me it's not to have the most, but to have a good number to have a healthy community growing.

I don't see it as competition even thought you are trying to become big many video similar to yours can be tough to grow.
 
I definitely believe it can be a competition. Right now, I have to many things I'm doing that it would make me crazy if I thought it was. But if YouTube was my main thing? Yeah definitely. Especially for the category I'm doing which is mainly beauty. But I am trying to branch out a little, make my channel more unique. It's mostly just a hobby for me right now but I do wanna push myself so I can grow my channel.
 
Sure it is but a friendly one I think. No one should get hurt in order for another to get success. At the end of the day it is good people are pushing each other.[DOUBLEPOST=1475506401,1475506365][/DOUBLEPOST]

IDK I think it might drive them to succeed. Like give them a ton of motivation.
 
Competition is healthy. Keeps you on your toes, always improving, looking for new ideas, pushing yourself to surpass previous levels.
Imagine Bolt had no one to race against? Or the Miamo Dolphins just played against themselves. How boring....
