YouTube, Help Us Small Channels

Mixing low sub videos would go against absolutely everything that makes their searching work. It would also be just a bad idea because, from a strictly outside view, the only way to at least have a reasonably good idea if a video is high quality is its view/subscriber count.

"But not every popular channel is good!" you say. Well, maybe YOU don't like it, but a LOT of people do, and when YouTube is trying to decide what videos someone searching has the highest chance of wanting to see, then popular is a good idea.

Not only that, but the number of bad channels with over 100,000 subscribers is gonna be a LOT lower than the number of bad channels with 100 subscribers. Just simple reality.

Does anybody know if YouTube's "On the rise" program is discontinued? Currently youtube dot com slash ontherise only seems to link to the YouTube Creators channel. I actually liked the regular newsletters.

Youtube doesnt owe any of us creators anything. Of course they are going to promote the channels that make them money. Its simple business.

The best way to get known on YouTube is to become part of the community that you're niche is in. Promote on forums/blogs/social media related to your niche. Or make a video about a trending topic using good seo tactics. But the most iimportant thing is to have good content to hook the viewers in.

Ive learned this from Youtubers with over millions of subscribers.
