YouTube Friendships?!

Everyone on this thread seems to be having a tough time with friends so I'll throw in my perspective:

I've made 4 super uber great friends from being on YouTube in the last year. (I have other casual friends but we're focusing)
The first is a lovely human called Laura who lives in Australia and we have to Skype at weird times but we plan to meet one day and it will be glorious! We became friends through the Hopeful forum.
The other three make up "Squad" who are Emily, Lydia and Sam and twice a week we watch TV shows together and talk/support each other on Social Media, we became friends through them all separately finding my channel and then all chatting with me and then each other on Twitter.

What I'm trying to say here is that you can and will find friends who genuinely like you because of yourself and not anything else, I have more subscribers than all of those guys combined and I honestly couldn't care less because I think they're amazing and it has nothing to do with it. Go find your people, it will be the best thing I swear :)
 
Honestly I tried ONE time to make a youtube friend and got ignored.....even though she was the one who contacted me. Now that I'm thinking about it she probably wanted me to just subscribe lol But this forum has helped SO MUCH. It's like having sooo many youtube friends but no commitment LOL. I feel like if I didn't know about this forum I would have given up on my channel a while back :) Even though my friends encourage me, it's still different and nice to be able to discuss youtube stuff with youtube ppl!

It is hard indeed to make friends, especially on the Youtubes alone, though on a forum like this it is kinda easier, I cannot speak from alot of experience but I guess I made a few with which I talk so now and then and get feedback from and give them feedback :)

You see, as most people said here, most of the landlobbers here are just looking for the best way to grow themself, sometimes by standing on "a foundation of friends".
Personally though I think that, if you keep this in the back of your head, while making friends nothing much could go wrong. Atleast you are looking on the right forums, yttalk is the most friendliest around ;)
 
I've made some great YouTube friends both through YTtalk and also through my YouTube channel.
