YouTube comments... please help

So recently, almost everyone in my comments are like "oh nice vid! i subbed! will u sub back?" and I really don't want to go in a sub4sub direction.

I don't want to be mean, but how do I say no without starting an internet fight?

Unfortunately there really is no good way of doing it that won't leave someone annoyed, its best just to be straightforward and say you do not do sub for sub or make a video just telling people no. The best you can really do is offer to at least look at their channel but that's really about it and its often not worth the time since they most likely won't be coming back to your channel again. Either ignore the comments or be direct but don't let the pressure make you ruin your channel to appease others

Ignore the comments. Or better yet, put a video on your channel telling people not to bother with Sub 4 Sub. It never was a problem for me, but that's probably because I have an outspoken opinion on the matter, and it has been covered in some vlogs as well.

Sometimes I just don't even say anything in response. They know they are being spammy most likely. If you want you can be like "Thank you for subbing, but I don't do sub for sub. I only subscribe to channels that I know I will watch the content" something like that maybe?

You should take the kind route and tell them why you do not wish to sub for sub. Or you can just say you subway already gives you a discount on subs.

I honestly wouldn't bother replying at all, depending on how their comment is phrased. "I subbed to your channel, will you sub to mine" is a poor (and quite obvious) attempt at pretending to be interested in someone's content just so they will check out yours. Don't waste your time. Not replying sends the message just fine.

Just ignore them or say i don't sub4sub. This isn't being mean it's more like, let's not wast each other's time.

I used to try and tell those people that sub4sub doesn't help to grow a channel and explain why, but after a while I just stopped. Now sub4sub comments are automatically landing in my spam filter.
