Your youtube pet peeves 2017 edition!

I Love YTtalk
As one of the mods suggested, I thought I'd start a new pet peeve thread as the other one is locked, old and probably has inactive users. So here we go

What is your pet peeve about the glorious platform that is yoochoob!

Mine are:
1.Check out my channel comments
2.Not being able to private message a creator in the youtube app
3. The absolutely atrocious trending page
4.Trolls
5. Long drawn out generic intros (im even starting to dislike mine! Haha)

Now your turn, go!

1. Generic 3D text intros.
2. Videos that put (not clickbait) in the title.
3. Reaction videos.
4. The fact that long videos are favoured over short videos.
5. A lot of what shows up as recommend is stuff I'd never watch.

That about sums it up!

Stuff certain creators do in their videos:

"Don't forget to smash that 'like' button."
"Ok guys, let's get this to 50 likes."
etc

Stuff certain viewers do:

"Upvote if you're watching in 2017"

(and all the other unoriginal copy-paste comments begging for upvotes that have been around for years lol)

Only spammers that annoy me. They are wasting both our time. Their message is so spammy and wide spread that YT spots it instantly and none of it goes public anyway. But then I have to go in and delete/block/confirm each comment as spam just so to keep my dashboard clean and tidy.

It makes me feel bad that Ive actually done a few of these. >.<

anyways, in keeping with the topic, here are my pet peeves:
  • comments that say 'Hey, cool video! I commented on your video so now you have to watch mine Ha Ha!'. (Its probably shallow of me to say that, but oh well)
  • Having my videos show up in 'funny' Youtube lists just because I put 'laugh' in the title.
  • Having comments that only say 'nice' or 'cool' or 'good vid'.

2. Videos that put (not clickbait) in the title.
3. Reaction videos.

Ugh number 4! I'd love to make longer videos, but my type of content doesn't warranty a 20 minute video and it's unfair youtube penalises you for shorter videos

The one thing that's a (minor) annoyance to me is this series of edits:

1. Funny thing happens.
2. Repeat the funny thing.
3. Repeat the funny thing, but slo-mo and in closeup.

It's gotten so prevalent that it's just a lazy edit to me.
