Does anyone know if its possible to actually insert a picture into your video on windows movie maker without having to make it a new slide???
Like so that the picture appears next to you when your talking?
Or do I just need better editing software? :/

Any advice would be much appreciated! (I'm very new to editing my videos) :p

I don't believe you can do this with Windows Movie Maker at this point, I'd say you get some editing software for that kind of thing. Sony Vegas Pro 10/11 would be a good software for you to look into and is quite affordable for what it offers and what you can do within the software.

I'd search up as much as you can on editing softwares, so you pick one inside your budget that will definitely do all that you need to do now and in the future. Vegas is a possibility, but so are others like Powerdirector and Serif MoviePlus. :3
E: Oh you have an old laptop, I can tell you right now to avoid PowerDirector then. It doesn't work too well on older machines.

Yeah I started with windows movie maker and now I have been using Sony Vegas Pro 12 for about a month. It is a lot to take in at first because there is a lot too it but there is a lot of tutorials. It will blow your mind how much more you can do.
