Why do you actually subscribe to a channel?

For me, I will usually find something I can relate to about them, for example I love Japan so when someone has a vlog of their visit to Japan that would make me want to subscribe :)
 
As a gamer, the content is what takes me there in the first place but ultimately I stick around for their personality.

I can watch any gaming video out there but a YouTuber's personality is the selling point for me.

I also subscribe to channels like Good Mythical Morning because not only are they entertaining but each episode is an entirely new topic.
 
I think it really depends what your interests are. Like there are certain types of video that I lean towards more. However within those types the videos actually have to be appealing to me and enjoyable. Like even though I like gaming channels I will only subscribe to the ones that I find most interesting or funny etc to watch. Same as short films...I love short film makers but you have to capture my attention with what you make.
 
Well, I subscribe to a channel because of either their content, or I think they're cool. Haha. Sometimes, I subscribe to my friends, and yeah. Those are the reasons I subscribe to channels. Though sometimes I can't keep up with their videos because I subscribed to like 39264916884104 people.
 
Usually, i subscribe to someone when i like there content and want to see what else they can do. If we subscribe to a YouTube channel, it's because we really like his/her/their content and would really love to see more. We'd rather someone subscribe to us in that way rather than just doing it to "help us out." You're not really helping us out if you don't watch anything we have.

I subscribe when I find something so interesting and unique that I want to see how it develops. It all depends on the the person's qualities and/or on the people behind him (script writers).

Apart of this I subscribe sometimes to channels which I just want to support or these are people leaving in our are (more like Facebook subscriptions) but I rarely watch these channels videos.
