Why do some people say Macs are better for editing?

The term gaming PC usually has to do with a PC you build yourself. A pre-built PC is not a gaming PC, it won't have the specs to handle games down the road like a true gaming PC. It's not an assumption but rather a miss use of the term on your part.

Wrong, its not a miss use of the word on her part, its miss use of the word on your part, you assume that every gaming PC is build by the end user, cyberpowerpc sells gaming pc's that are pre-build and yet have enough power to run any modern game, sure i dont own a MAC and unless its free never will, but she owns a Mac and 2 PC's and clearly prefers PC to Mac.

There is no proving you wrong with facts, you are right the OS has some perks and some things i wish Windows had, but there is no chance that the system has anywhere near the performance of Windows, everyone who has used Windows for more than editing will agree, and even those that just used Windows for editing still loved it. In the end of the day you can keep trying to prove Mac's are worth it, but you will be talking to the wrong crowd

Again you make it about the Operating System, we are talking about hardware and price, and that if someone trully loves the OSX so much and they are actually interested in decent specs on their PC they will go for a Hackingtosh to save some money.
