Why Do People Make Bad YouTube Channels?

There's this one guy I used to know, 1177aj. He's been making videos for 3 years, and never improved his content very much at all. His camera was always waving all around, his audio wasn't good, and he had bad editing.

I asked him to improve his content any way he can, but he never did it. I basically stopped talking to him because he was being a total d**k about everything, but he's a perfect example of what I mean.

Does he get subscribers? I mean, I try my best to get out the best content as possible. All day today, I have been thinking about how to improve my content and how to create more entertainment for my audience. You can't really blame him though... If he likes what he's doing, then let him.

He's been stuck around the 100 subscriber mark for about two years, most of his subscribers came from sub4sub.

And again, you guys aren't understanding what I'm asking. I'm asking for reasoning why they do it, I'm not saying they shouldn't do it.

Youtube really is meant to share content with others. Not everyone is looking to share with the world, but rather their friends. For that reason, they often forgo any sort of editing. Additionally, everyone doesn't has a super great computer, or mic, or video recording software, etc. You can't expect every video to be a gem. Not to mention that enjoying a video is definitely a subjective experience. No content is unanimously liked, even for the most popular of channels.

That's not my question, though. I'm asking why people don't try to work hard on their content at all and just make low quality videos constantly for reasons such as getting famous.

because to some they don't give a s**t haha, do hockey players play golf to be the next tiger woods, do i jump in puddles to be the next olympian, do i post on this forum to become the next mod. i do this all for fun if i want to half a** i will, when i play basketball with the locals i do not bring my a game out i play for fun. Some time's you just have to do it for the sake of doing it! it's like a fat man climbing a mountain for a box of crispy creams! make's no sense to me or you but to him her just climbed a fuckin mountain!

That probably makes some sense, doing it because it's meant for friends and family.

If someone enjoys something they will do it. That's why they do it

That sums it up for me as well. If they are happy or satisfied with what they do, more power to them. But if they want to grow yet do not implement changes to improve their channel, then they that's a different story.

Because people like to create videos for fun.
And we all have had previous channels before and not dont use because we know they suck because most are beginners and they are trying to learn.
