Why Do People Make Bad YouTube Channels?

Well with my first ever channel I put out videos because I could. I guess some people just need to get that out of their system before realizing that people won't want to watch a five second video where you film your iPod.

I'm not telling anyone they should stop c: I'm not sure if you understood that or not.[DOUBLEPOST=1374117258,1374117187][/DOUBLEPOST]Could a moderator please lock this thread? It seems to be causing nothing but trouble, since a lot of people don't seem to like anything that has to do with my opinion.

lol why would you ask a question and when people answer it take it as attacking you... we are all just stating are opinions for the question you asked.. thats how a forum works haha

It seems that a lot of people who are answering believe that I'm bashing on channels like the ones I described, but I wasn't really trying to do that. It's honestly just not worth having up for discussion anymore, a lot of people have answered, and I thank those who helped give me an understanding. I'd rather prevent any more controversy then let it continue, if you know what I mean.

Seems like I'm backing out for bad reasons, it's just that a lot of stuff like this can end up going a bit overboard, I honestly wasn't expecting this many answers, and I got my answers now so I'm fine, no more need for the thread. I probably used the wrong wording when I said 'nothing but trouble' probably should have said something like it may lead to more trouble.

I suppose there are a lot of ways you could see it.

Their intentions for creating videos... maybe they just like doing it and their views, quality, subscribers don't matter as much as the fact they know they have videos up on youtube.

Maybe they can't afford better equipment.

They may not know whats good and what isn't (everyone has their own opinion on what is good/bad). Or have no idea they can even improve their videos with content/lighting/equipment. If you don't know what questions to ask, how can you ask google?! Lack of awareness.

They could just be humble, happy with whatever they are putting out there.

You never know... something that may seem crap to you, someone else may love.

I've noticed lately that there are a lot of YouTube channels that really just clogged up YouTube with extremely low quality videos that suck. I'm not entirely sure what makes people ignorant to their bad content, they just keep making bad videos knowing why their videos are bad, but they make no attempt to improve it.

I just don't quite understand why people do this, could anyone give me their opinion on this?

Disclaimer: I am not bashing channels saying they should stop! I'm merely asking why people think they don't want to improve their videos. I had to change this because people kept leaving hateful comments saying I shouldn't be bashing.

My idiot friend has really bad vids and he has no idea. He puts ZERO effort into his videos and thinks by the rule of quantity over quality.

It pisses me off so much. his trailer is the worst garbage I've ever seen.

I saw a guy who could commentate on his videos but said it wasn't worth the effort because he had so few subs

And he wanted more subs.

They like to live in their little fantasy world, where everything they make is absolutely perfect and anyone who adds criticism is a BIG MEAN TROLL.

it all depends on that persons budget like if someone wants to get all famous for a gaming channel but they dont have money to get a good screen recorder they will take a camera and put right in front of the screen....trust me I know this because i did this with my best friend until we both got jobs, now I own a really good screen recorder and a great editing software:)
