Why did you start Youtube?

Simple question. Why did you start Youtube?
I personally started youtube because I was bored xD. Also because I wanted to be famous, get rich, have women throwing themselves at me. You know, the usual thing you think about when you start your first ever channel! But that mindset was a channel ago, and I feel pretty good about the stuff I have learnt during my time on Youtube!
Like editing videos! And being awesome!
Anyway, why did you start Youtube?
I used to love making stupid videos in high school. It was a lot of fun. I recently rediscovered how much I loved doing it again and YouTube is an outlet to share it. I enjoy sharing things that I work hard on, and getting feedback.

On top of that, I'm trying to learn new things with it - different software, hardware, filming techniques and equipment and such. Overall I'm loving the hobby.

Also fame and fortune.

I started youtube out of frustration. I had lost my job and wasn't sure how I was going to pay my bills and needed a creative outlet. I love that I can express myself on youtube, say whatever is on my mind and people will give me feedback

Honestly? Just have fun with it.

If you're into the tech stuff then start doing some beginner tutorials for any editing programs. There's countless resources on YouTube and other places.

I started Youtube after watching Pewdiepie, Markiplier, Yamimash, etc play games and be popular for it. I thought: "Hey! I'm pretty good at playing games, and I have courses taken in media programs with high marks so I have the experience for it, I can do it too!"

But, it was a whole new thing to do for me. I had to talk and interact with an invisible audience. And, I had to quickly break the mindset of doing it to be famous, because that alone will get you nowhere. So instead of focusing on trying to be a "star" I went with my common philosophy to Have Fun. I went through Rayman 2: The Great Escape as my first LP series and I gained a lot of understanding on what I have to do, so I moved on to Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs.

Now, here I am after my 3rd completed LP series, having a lot of fun doing it, and I have a small following of 30 subs (but ~7 views per video for some reason). Oh well. I'm having fun with it, and although it may not be why I started in the first place, it's why I'm continuing.

Because I wanted to have a place to save my progress as a dancer and I started dancing jpop and kpop so I wanted to meet people that also liked that music and danced the choreos. Then my gaming and vlogger channel came just to try it

Actually started youtube for sports cards (nerdy I know) and then learned people posted video game videos on youtube, got me hooked, got an elgato, the rest is history.
