Why did you start Youtube?

I loved watching other peoples videos because they made me happy, and so I made it a personal goal to make videos that would hopefully put a smile on someone else's face. It just seemed like a great community that I wanted to be a part of, and now that I am I can actually say I'm happier than I've ever been. :)
 
My friends and I started putting up videos for a lot of reasons but most importantly we wanted to make videos to make each other laugh.
 
So many reasons. I wanted to make new friends, become a part of the amazing community that is YouTube, I wanted to be able to make people laugh and smile and all that good stuff. I also wanted to see if anyone would watch me. There is just something amazing being able to know that someone out there is watching you (not in a creepy way... well... maybe... but you know what I mean) and is looking forward to watching you every week! Gah. All the feels!!
 
Hmm, I started my channel because I myself enjoy listening to people reading things out loud while I do other things and I thought I could contribute something by doing it myself

I always knew I wanted to get into entertainment since I was a kid, I just wasn't sure where to start and how to go about it. As a kid, I watched Conan and Jimmy Kimmel a lot and when Jimmy Fallon started, I was immediately hooked as well (where my comedy is inspired from). So throughout my childhood, instead of doing normal kid stuff, I just practiced singing, songwriting, and acting, then I got really hooked onto Youtube.

The first Youtuber that had me hooked onto the site was Greg Benson from Mediocrefilms. From that point, it really inspired me to join Youtube, though it did take me a few years before I did it for real. Most hesitation was because I joined a boy band (yes) while in college, however, the group soon fell apart due to separate interests and schedules :P Afterwards, I've decided that if I want to "make it", I should do it myself, so here I am today.

I had trouble deciding my path, so I've decided to "Jamie Foxx" and "Justin Timberlake" it and do everything...from music to acting to comedy, etc. I'm starting to build up an audience for myself first through comedy skits, pranks, and vlogs as my original music is still under production (and the Demos are TOP SECRET and are not to be randomly released without my producer's approval haha). I write pop music and I hope to get on a record label soon after the demos are fully complete :)

And yes, I will be posting previews of some of my demo songs on my channel, just not anytime soon until they're ready and the timing is good. BTW Should I even post Music Previews on the same channel I use for my funny stuff and vlogs? LOL
 
no one inspired me or anything like that, i liked to make videos before i knew what youtube was, and when i discovered it i just joined
 
i started youtube because i wanted to make a name for myself in someway. and after doing a serious rundown of my talents and budget youtube seemed like the most viable option. im heading in the right direction as im about to hit 23k sub but ive got quite the journ ahead of me to get to where i believe i can be.

oh and also some day i want to own a naked lady pyramid and a pool full of purple heated jello
 
Well i started youtube because i was taking to my friend on skype and he asked me "want to film a video with me for youtube?' i was sure he had a gaming channel so we played mincraft it was fun and all i always wanted to create a youtube but i never knew what to do. but he gave methe idea on doing a gamming channel so i started that met many cool people and went from there at the sometime being of there year i thought i really dont like gamming it's fun but its not what i wanted to do so i delted all my gamming videos and decide i wanted to do Vlogs and talk to myself in the camera be myself. and i have been doing that. so ya i guess you can tell me why you started youtube if you wnat.
