Why are your Videos a certain length?

I'm curious about the average length of peoples videos and why they have it at that length.

My videos are typically between 1 minutes - 3 minute since I like them concise and I usually don't have many ideas for them.

What about for you?
 
Alot of I comes down to your content. Shorter videos tend to be better then longer ones due to audience attention span.

We try to keep ours between 10-15min. But that seems to fit our genre.
 
I try to keep all of my videos less than 8 minutes, if not slightly more than that, but I never want to have them longer than that because none of my viewers would make it to the end of it
 
Usually around 3-5 minutes. I do two-minute videos for Mondays (or I try to), about 4 minutes for vlogs, 5 minutes if I'm talking about something I think is important. I'm working on getting down to under 4 minutes for everything though. It just does so much better than longer videos.

My SMARTER IN SECONDS videos are ideally less than 2 minutes in length (with the exception of my latest one), but I've only made 3 so far!
My other videos, I try to keep below 10 minutes because it's more satisfying to look at 3 digits on that time stamp. Also, attention issues are a thing and my channel is educational so I need all the concentration I can get before it fades into the abyss.
 
It depends on the content. But I generally like to keep my videos 5min or less. I think 3 minutes tends to be the "sweet spot" for retention, but my videos are never that short lol.

I find it best to keep editing and trimming your video down every spot you can. Then when you think it's done, go back and trim some more :)
 
I think about my own attention span and what I like to watch - when it comes to vlogs and unboxings, I like vlogs under 10 minutes, and I like unboxings under about 6 minutes. So I try to stay within that time frame!

That said, working on another series that will likely be in the 8-12 minute range - because I think that length better fits the content than anything.
 
I attempt to keep all my videos under 5 minutes (unless its an actual vlog) so 90% are that length because I mercilessly cut out a lot of my talking :')
 
A minute or under just so I can actually get things done in less than 2 months. The only time I go over tends to be stuff that takes less animation like Ace Attorney parodies or motion comics. Also the occasional rare vlog, tutorial, or misc. upload may go over.
