Why are you a Copycat?

I know Caddicarus started as a clone of Jontron (but British) and he blew up. He was able to spin off and do his own thing a little and now he's pretty big. I swear I saw another clone of Jontron too, but I can't remember the name. He also got pretty big. I can't even copy my own style from video to video, so I don't think I'll ever have to worry about that if I somehow blow up.

If all it takes to be a copy is the same subject and a similar style, Jontron was a copy of a copy of a copy to begin with.

I think you just envy these people because you can't seem to get yourself up with your originality which is understandable. You should just focus on what you do but who am i to tell you what to do right?

That's not what happened though. He used a very, very similar style of humor and imagery. Screenshake, font, joke timing, etc. I'm not quick to call someone that does reviews of games a copycat just because someone else did it. I'm calling Caddicarus a clone (early on) because he was just that, a clone.

The mentality of "copy cats" is that if someone is successful in doing something, why don't I do it too. There's an audience that enjoys that content, why don't I make the same/similar content, and put more out there. You can see examples of this in real life. Why do both Walmart and Costco exist? Isn't Costco just a copy cat, since they both pretty much sell the same/similar products? Yes. Despite Costco being a "copy cat", they still succeeded as a business because there was enough demand in the market for them to co-exist with Walmart. Sometimes "copy cats" create the same content/product because they feel they can make it better than the "original", so they create the same/similar content, but make improvements. It's called competition, and competition is good for consumers, in our case, the viewers.

You seem a little salty. I didn't even check you channel but i can easily assume why.

There's no need to attack me. Especially when you don't even know me. You're just making stuff up about myself. All i did was to create a topic to ask people why they're copycats. Why? Because i'm genuinely curious about what motivates them. I'm not insulting anyone.

I'm fascinated by clones in general. That's why people like Caddicarus fascinate me. DNA from the original put into a new egg cell and grown into an exact replica. Fascinating.

When Pyrocinical sits there making thousands a month with over a million subs copying Leafy, who copied others and yet is the fastest growing Youtuber at the moment...

Some would call it perfecting an art style. Also remember there is nothing original anymore. All we can do is give it our own spin.
