Animation Yey!
I've been making my next video for quite a while now, it's given me time to think, should I be doing this video? It's based on a game I haven't covered before on the channel.
Lots of viewers are asking for a new part in my series, but personally I would like to do this video first before continuing the series.

is that selfish of me?

I have always created content that I wanted to make, and although the viewers have definitely had an influence in what I make in future, the biggest influence is what I personally want to make, and get inspired from.

Undertale was a fantastic game (in my opinion) and I've been wanting to make an animation on it for ages, so im taking the chance now to make one :)
but it's not my regular pokémon content, and I can bet there will very possibly be a big negative reaction to it being posted. (I hope not, but we will just have to wait and see)
I have every intention of continuing my pokémon content forever as it's always been a big influence on me, but i still want to make the odd video on other games too, especially when they impact me as much as Undertale did.

so to the main discussion point.
do you think it's more important to make videos that your viewers/subscribers want from you?
Or is it more important to make content that you personally want to make?

Once your channel starts to grow, does that mean you owe it to your subscribers to stick only to what they like?

What's your opinion on this?
It's obviously too late for me to change my mind since I'm already well into production, but if it was your own channel what would you do in this situation?

Honestly, I would listen to my viewers/subscribers AND do what I want. It's important you listen to your "fans" but I think it's more important to do what you really like and feel like doing. If you don't like what you're doing... why would you do it then?

So, my final answer is that I would do both. Just to make yourself a little bit more unique! So your fans see that you listen to them but you STILL do what you want!

EDIT: Holy moly, I didn't realise you had so many subscribers! I would poop my pants making this decision so I understand that you've gotta ask others hahah

I just tend to make what I want. Of course what my viewers want is very imporant as without them there are no views, but I need to able to think of new ideas constantly so thinking of what to upload just by myself is what i usually do

I think everyone agrees that trying to get the best of both would be the way to go :) and I agree with that!

This is kinda off-topic but I really enjoyed your "You don't have enough money to train me" video! It was creepy but funny! You are great at animating!

I think you do need a mixture of them both but If you didn't do the kind of videos you enjoyed and wanted to do you would slowly lose interest in youtube :( so a mixture of both keeps both them and you happy and who knows they may like your new video even more!!
yeah m8, i agree with this

yeah it's not a major change, it's still animation in my style, with my humour, and still games, just a different game xD I'm still going back to Pokemon, they are just having to wait a bit longer. (though not many people especially younger ones are patient lol)
