i was wondering about this myself. some good replies.

i understand it would be best to have different channels for different categories. example. one channel is a fitness channel and another is a gaming channel

but what do you guys think of niche related stuff example. a gaming channel dedicated to the sims. the channel would be under the gaming category but what if you start uploading call of duty to it?

would this be better to have a different channel even though both of these are under the same gaming category?

@bb109 it really depends on your audience. If your audience is willing to try your call of duty content and you present it in a way that allows them to provide feedback on what they think about more content like this. then I see no problems with putting call of duty and sims together as long as your audience is fine with it. If not just create another channel and use your main channel as a way to bring those who are interested to the call of duty channel just don't over promote the call of duty channel on your sims channel.

If you have a small audience don't be afraid to try new things that you would like to create videos of. At least that's my take on it. In a few minutes I'll reply with a video that's on this topic. I saw it a few weeks ago, and it may help you out.

Good luck dude :3

@bb109 Hey dude I found a good video, you can start at 00:40. I think this person has a good point with the wisdom he provides through his experience and his thoughts.

I also want to point out I, as well as other youtubers agree with a lot of this guy's points. I would say all of his points but I'm not able to listen to the entire video because I have something to finish.

Scratch that last sentence, I finished the video anyway, and I know of a youtuber that completely agrees will ALL of this guy's points who also did a commentary on this subject.

I really hope this helps you out dude!! :D

It's called How to Grow Your Channel. The channel is SNEAKO. Sorry I can't post links :p
You can search up: "How to Grow your channel sneako"

Creating multiple channels is very frustrating as you have to remember each of the passwords and login/logout every time. I usually prefer those channels that have variety of content and they shouldn't really stick into only one type of content.

I used to have a channel which was a mix and I got very little subs - the viewer was confused.
I now have multi channels and the viewer now knows what to expect and subs to watch that type of content.

i was thinking of using the 1 YT login / 1 gmail account and using the create channel feature once logged in? no?? you only need 1 password to access all channels?

i thought this was how people manage multiple channels?

or is it better to create different logins/different gmail account per channel? how would this work with analytics?

oh you mean multiple channel on 1 youtube account. Well that should be good. If you can concentrate on all of these channels together and balance the work, go ahead :D

I'm glad you brought that up; I actually didn't know that was possible. @bb109

yep.
on youtube click on your username at the top right > youtube setting > overview > bottom of overview page will say Additional features > below that click on See all my channels or create a new channel.

I am not a Youtuber so i don't know if there is any disadvantages to doing this.
