Which famous youtubers help with shoutouts and stuff ?

Actually, it was "Ungateful ******** ... :p" (emoticons are meant to enhance online communication, and we should all know what their meanings are) and if anyone is so butt-hurt about comical insults, then they're probably not my type of people. I usually follow open-minded people with a good sense of humor. Otherwise I would get pretty angry when RWJ swears his audience, tells them that he's doing their moms and that their dads are alcoholics.

Should I feel offended that the way you give me advice is belittling and critical? :D You make it seem that you are certain about your knowledge being superior to mine regarding the mechanisms of the YouTube community, which may or may not be true.

if you knew the mans profession that your arguing with you would back the off pretty quick trust me his knowledge is very vast in this subject ;)

You are perfectly free to feel offended. I was simply making a point based on many collaborations with other channels-including some very large ones. If you carry that attitude into a collaboration, no one will want to work with you. If you treat others with respect no matter what their channel size and don't project a feeling that they owe you something, then there's no limit to how far you can go.

Jeff knows all about this topic, he's pretty much the go-to guy for this kind of stuff, so chances are he probably knows more about how it works.

I personally think it would be un-beneficial for these super large channels to give shout outs to random people simple because of the massive amount of subscribers and views they get. People would start saying "Hey! Why did you give him/her a shout out and not me! I sent you a dozen letters man! I tattooed your channel name on my upper lip like a boss mustache!... Now I spit on your videos man! I still watch them, but I spit on them!" .

There's nothing more frustrating then trying to build up your channel. I've tried various other options but it all comes down to content. Make great quality videos as often as you can and the word will spread. Just keep doing it, don't stress about the larger channels but learn from them.

On the other hand I've decided when I reach 1000 subscribers I'm going to add a channel link, including a thumbnail to other channels I enjoy and have subscribed to me to help as much as I can. I'll randomly pick a channel I like and do this with every animation.

Ha ha... So random... :D Well, anyone who tattoes your channel name on his upper lip deserves a personal handshake, not just a shoutout.

However, people getting upset is not a valid reason, because that happens all the time, with or without shoutouts. Comment sections are full of comments like that all the time, whenever the users' questions aren't picked for the Q&A vlogs and whenever their fan mail is omitted. According to this logic, this fad of picking certain comments or tweets or facebook replies to read in Q&A vlogs should have never existed... because it upsets the thousands of viewers who don't get picked. :O_o2: See my point?

KD., I've been called names and attacked several times since joining this forum yesterday, despite not having insulted anyone around here,... AND IT'S ME WHO'S TRYING TO START A FIGHT?! WTF?!
